Pentecost — The Spirit Falls on a Feast Day
Acts 2:1-4; Leviticus 23:15-21
'And when the day of Pentecost was fully come' (Acts 2:1). The founding event of the Church happens on an appointed time already established in Leviticus, with pilgrims already gathered in Jerusalem for it.

Acts 2 opens with the day being 'fully come' — the completion of the fifty-day count from Leviticus 23:15-16. The crowd of 'devout men, out of every nation under heaven' (2:5) is present precisely because it was a pilgrimage feast.
The pattern
Twice in the same narrative the decisive act happens on the appointed day: the Passion at Passover, the Spirit at Weeks. Whatever one concludes about modern calendars, the New Testament does not treat the liturgical calendar as an emptied husk.
The counter-current in the same canon
The same apostolic writings warn against making calendar observance a test of standing — Colossians 2:16-17 and Galatians 4:10-11 are examined in the interpretive folder. Both sets of texts are in the New Testament, and this quest keeps both on the table.
